Life Cord (2021)

This work explores the concept of our connection and attachment to our mothers. Despite all the ups and downs of complex family relationships, we are linked with them by an invisible thread.

When my mother passed away in June 2020, I was helpless and lonely. Something disconnected at that moment; a thread was cut that I could not repair.

Seeking to capture her memories, I realized that the mark of the umbilical cord I carry in my belly is a sign of my eternal connection with her. It is the imprint of maternal union and the shelter she gave me in her womb.
