Glint (2019)

My works of art reflect my relationship with the world, the circumstances, and the connection with people.

Human interaction makes me curious and mysterious. It involves aspects beyond rational topics. There is a first look, a quick reading of gestures, and a non-language scan.

Malcolm Gladwell calls the "adaptive unconscious," in which snap judgments are made from little information. But, unfortunately, many times, we block this mechanism and do not consider instinct.

In this work, I wanted to get closer to that fleeting moment, that flash in which the first impression happens. We recognize or reject ourselves when we get close to someone, and our energies connect beyond our corporeality.

The handmade felted human bodies represent the shell of our essence, without color, gender, or particular features. We recognize them as human beings only through their form.
